Fire Safety
Thanks to Dale and Giselle Nova
As a homeowner and member of the board of directors for the Shasta View Heights Homeowners’ Association here in Siskiyou County, I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to Dale and Giselle Nova of the Fire Safe Council of Siskiyou County.
For those who are unaware, Dale and Giselle write and receive federal grants for fuel reduction and brush removal throughout Siskiyou County. They employ locals such as Juan Cota and his crew and A Cut Above Tree Service to do the actual physical brush removal and create fire breaks, helping our local economy and doing a wonderful service to our community.
Both Dale and Giselle met with our homeowners association and devised a plan to reduce the risk of fire in and around our homes and roadways. They thoroughly went over details and talked with out homeowners, visiting each homestead to discuss concerns and points of interest on each property. They were very professional and considerate both before and after the work was done. In the months of May and June, Juan’s crew came out to our subdivision and did a tremendous job cutting and clearing dense brush and dying limbs from trees, and creating fire breaks. They cleared and removed dense brush from along our subdivision’s roadways and our homes. Juan and his crew were very considerate of each of our homeowner’s individual needs and requests, working diligently and thoroughly to create a safer environment for our homeowners.
The service that Dale and Giselle provided to our subdivision was priceless, and literally so, as all of this work was done and no “out of pocket” cost to our homeowners. And the peace of mind it created is also priceless! Thank you, Dale and Giselle! I hope more homeowners take advantage of this wonderful service.
